Jamadianle school has outgrown its home! Now that our first group of students has reached the fourth class we are running out of space. In response to this problem, Mr. Orock and the rest of the United Action for Children (UAC) executive have launched the “Star Project,” which aims to raise funds for a larger permanent home for UAC. Currently, the school administration has been forced to accommodate many of Jamadianle’s classes in dark, temporary buildings that are not conducive to learning. In our new building, students will have brighter, cleaner classrooms that will incorporate a number of modern pedagogical tools, allowing UAC to further improve its leading educational program.
Project Details
Jamadianle’s permanent home will be located near the school’s original location in the town of Buea, South West Province, Cameroon. The proposed building, aside from being large enough to accommodate all of UAC’s students (requiring the addition of at least 3 new classroom spaces) will feature a large number of important improvements over the current school. These improvements include the following:
How You Can Help
UAC needs to raise a total of 9100 Euros (6 million Central African Francs) for the purchase of land and another 78,000 Euros (51,246,000 Central African Francs) to build the school. So far, our generous partner UAC Netherlands has helped us to reach 58% of our land costs and 33% of our total building costs. If you can, please consider helping UAC meets its goals for the Star Project.
